Durham's Name that Book Team spent last Friday morning recalling the 35 books, which they have read this school year. It is a very competitive contest and we are pleased that our team tied with River Oaks Elementary School for third place. The Name That Book contest, coordinated by the HISD Library Services, serves to acquaint HISD students with classic literature as well as contemporary award-winning books, representing a variety of genres.  The district-wide competition is held every spring.

Our team had a fun morning showing off all they had learned and enjoying CiCi’s pizza for lunch and games. The following students represented Durham: Emily Fox, captain, Chris Railsback, Mayra Cortez, Kody Millsap, Aimee Rast, Jonathan Garcia, Mauricio Cano, Brianna Rodriguez, Seth Barrett, Clarisa Galindo, Lisette Guevara.
