Children in the gifted program are grouped together in their regular classrooms so that they may go at a faster pace and do more enrichment activities.

Classroom teachers provide a differentiated curriculum in the four core subject areas: Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts using HISD’s “Scholars and Knowledge” framework.

Children explore the Renzulli Delivery Model for Instruction.

Included twice a month are:

Pull-out enrichment to meet the needs and interests of our GT students.

“Academically Able Kindergarten” class in which children with previous Preschool experience work at a faster pace.

Fourth graders also go on a monthly fieldtrip to Bayou Bend for hands on learning activities about gardening and conservation.
