Some of the applications that we use in our lab to support these technology skills are Type to Learn, Microsoft Office, Kid Works Deluxe, and Kid Pix. In addition we use two internet subscription websites; Learning.com to introduce and support technology learning, and EducationCity.com, a high interest website of games, that reinforce academic skills that need to be mastered at each grade level.
In addition the computer lab reinforces and supports the regular classroom subjects through the use of the Neufeld Math lower and upper grade math applications, Destination Math, the Jump Start programs for Pre-K, Kindergraten, 1st, and 2nd grades, and Treasure Math Storm.
Through such applications as Cross Country USA and Photo Safari USA, which are two simulation truck driving trips to different destinations across the USA, students are able to gain a hands on understanding of important social studies skills.
